...a post like this, which carries no point, but merely repeats information that is already available to anyone who can navigate AMTA's website and read English, on a forum in an attempt to besmirch a team's performance.

Like your name. Last year that was our team song. There was this not-very-team-compatible person in our program that finally left midway through the year, see.

same! but this person is finally leaving now that were going to orcs.

I believe they also hit Maryland and Princeton? I'm saying "believe" sarcastically because I know they did, because I also checked the tab summary that is available to everyone.

I would enjoy knowing the affiliations of posters who post fake congrats to teams after they perform superbly at tournaments. I know that I can't help but read through tab summaries and say, "this team had an easier run than this one" or "what an easy way to start a tournament" or "they got lucky that they didn't hit this team."

But I know that I would never make a post like this, which carries no point, but merely repeats information that is already available to anyone who can navigate AMTA's website and read English, on a forum in an attempt to besmirch a team's performance.

feel free to hate that i actually brought it up but honestly 8-0 when you play those teams (and it WAS princeton D) doesnt deserve as much congratulations as does, say, georgetown who blew shit out of the water. (and dont worry im not from georgetown, so im not trying to pat myself on the back)

you think youre a real smart fellow, dont ya?

I'm aware. The guys and gals from Georgetown have much more class. But feel free to continue posting behind the protection of anonymity.

At the end of the day, a team's job is to win ballots. Penn State (D) and Georgetown were both perfect in that goal at this tournament. And both of those teams deserve our respect and our congratulations. And I'm sure that those teams that faced Penn State are honored by your descriptions of them as "those" teams.

The best teams that compete in AMTA, with very few exceptions, are all consistent in their class, sense of fair-play, and the pride that they take in competing and respecting their opponents. That's why you wouldn't catch dead someone from UVa, Miami, Northwood, Columbia, or UCLA posting stuff like this, either as an anonymous coward, or with the full sanction of their program.

you think youre a real smart fellow, dont ya?

No, not particularly. After all, I do dress-up every few weekends and pretend to be an attorney or some whacky witness.

I'm sure I also have 99 problems, but your thoughts, regarding my intelligence or lack thereof, certainly aren't one of them.

1. Teams can only beat who they play.

2. 8-0 is still 8-0, no matter which teams they're against. It's sort of the "any given Sunday" mentality; in mock trial anything can happen, so even against teams which may be considered "weaker," 8-0 is still an impressive record.

Just thought I'd drop by perjuries to say thank you to Princeton's mock program for a well run tournament this weekend- they were very helpful with resolving any issues quickly and efficiently, and they even found a place for us to leave our stuff on Sunday.

Congratulations to the other teams going to White Plains, we'll see you there!

On behalf of Georgetown University's entire Mock Trial program, I'd like to congratulate all the teams earning bids out of Princeton and offer particular congratulations to Penn State for their well-deserved victory. I won't get involved in the back and forth here except to say that we have nothing but respect for Penn State. The folks from State College have built an impressive program and we look forward to competing with them at White Plains.

I'd also like to thank our gracious hosts at Princeton for their hard work last weekend, especially in light of the questionable weather. Finally, I'd like to thank all of our opponents for eight collegial and competitive rounds for our two teams.

Best of luck to all teams in the postseason!

I do the opposite of this.  Insult my team to your heart's content.  If you come up with any especially clever lines, though, I reserve the right to steal them.

I know how to make sure your team fails to exceed my expectations: I predict they will go 20-0 at ORCS. There.

Actually, we are taking steps to make this happen.

love it. im quite positive that if you can steal a hair off Buchanan Vines head, you could replicate strains of his DNA and accomplish this task fairly easily.

I expect you to go 0-20.  That 15th and 16th ballot will be super close though.

[baseball geekdom] So I guess that means that Iona's 10% PECOTA projection is 0-20 while our 90% PECOTA projection is 20-0 [/baseball geekdom].  Interesting.
