There's a small error in the poll. Team 1003 that is competing at Greenville is "University of Miami," which is in Florida. "Miami University," which is what the poll currently lists, is Miami (OH). Miami (OH) has two teams competing at a different ORCS.

Fixed.  Someone should tell the earned bid list though - there they're just "Miami" and "Miami U."

We need only be referred to by the following four letters... "The U"

my big 6 in no particular order:

UCF A
Furman A
Furman B
Florida A
Georgia A
Washington & Lee A

note- this prediction (possibly illogically) ignores two historical trends- Duke overachieves in Greenville and Georgia underachieves in Greenville. if Duke avoids Furman, they will probably advance.

PS- a note to the people who did not predict Furman A (and even those who did not predict Furman B)- by my recollection of Furman over the past 4 years, Furman A & B are a combined 54-10 in Greenville, A being 30-2.

I'm a little shocked that Duke A doesn't make this list after their dominance at the Chapel Hill Regional. I doubt they'll be the best team at Greenville, but unless they get very unlucky (more unlucky than just hitting Furman, I think), I find it hard to believe they don't make Top 6.

Also, agreed about my Bulldogs historically underachieving at ORCS/Silver in the past. ORCS almost always falls during our Spring Break, and we lose a good 2-3 people every year on each of our teams between the end of Regionals and ORCS (for various reasons that usually are more legitimate than "I'm going to the beach").
But I'm happy to say that our 7-1 Birmingham team, in its entirety, will be at Greenville this year :gavel:

I was referring to UGA underachieving at Greenville as a general rule- ORCS or not. Maybe you are too young to remember the old South Atlantic I & II Regional :)  But, clearly as per my prediction, I think this may be the year the underachieving stops. Also, Duke is probably a very good team this year (I have not seen them directly), but this field has a lot of sleeper, underrated teams in it that are going to take some people by surprise...more than one deserving team is going to get left home...

speaking of "the U"...just realized they were not even at the South Regional last year.  Quite impressive to see them at ORCS.

There are certainly some sleeper teams in the Greenville field, but I'm not convinced they are Florida A or UCF A.  I would substitute in Duke A, who I have seen compete in 3 different rounds this year, all very solid showings, and MTSU A, who is also a very solid team.  Duke's A team is certainly not unbeatable, and may not be what their rich history chalks them up to be, but with Sally Sullivan at the helm, and a solid witness lineup, I see them headed to Memphis (and staying true to the trend).  I also think Washington and Lee A could easily be substituted with UAB A, two teams on about the same level, each with a relatively equal claim.

No arguments with the rest of your lineup however.  Furman A and B, defending champs and runners-up at their own Greenville tournament, definitely belong in the top 6, as does Georgia A.

Duke A has also been bolstered with additional talent after some post-Regionals restacking, so Sullivan's got some help, most notably in Anand Varadarajan.

Will it indeed be Duke's B team showing up to Greenville?  Seeing as their B team didn't get a bid, but their C and D teams did (Both with an impressive showing at Birmingham), does anyone know who is taking the trip to Silvers?

Fair enough.  But, according to:

Duke A has also been bolstered with additional talent after some post-Regionals restacking, so Sullivan's got some help, most notably in Anand Varadarajan.

Duke has done some restacking, so Greenville could be seeing an entirely new team.

Touche good sir.

Well in that case, both of Duke's teams should definitely be a forced to be reckoned with then.
